Camden in the rain...

So I headed out to camden town, thinking I would find some decent inspiring fabric. All I found was huge puddles everywhere. My god! Did it rain today! I was totally put off by it all, but it did look rather cool as well, so i took some pics....

Well here it is...the finished product! Now I think I will put my styling techniques to the test. I'll take it around a few shops and try a few different looks. Watch this space....

Overlockers!!! :S

Now I love overlockers, but back in uni I didn't have to deal with setting them up...which was great at the time..but now I wish I paid attention when did the tutorials, because I cannot for the life of me, get the tension right on this thing so that the stitching doesn't unravel! It's taking ages!!!

The Making of...

This is the part I love to hate...pattern cutting! grrr! I don't know why but this really gets on my wick! I'm my own worst enemy, because I over-analyse it when it really isn't as hard as you think...just time consuming! Some people love it, but I prefer coming up with the idea of the garment and sewing it together. Well here goes...

So I thought I'd find something to start off with and refresh my skills.I really like loose off the shoulder tops, but I can't seem to find any I like in the stores. Saw some pretty ones on the internet to give me some ideas...
